“I started in litigation. That has helped develop my strategic thinking, having been a trial lawyer. It helps me better understand how to do transactions well, having seen what happens when things go awry.”
Joshua Imhoff is a partner at Carrington Coleman. He has experience in a broad range of commercial transactions, especially involving real estate, lending and oil and gas matters. He has significant experience with acquisitions and dispositions of various commercial assets, secured financing and workout negotiations, development, leasing, and professional and service contracts. Mr. Imhoff’s litigation experience gives him unique insights into the needs and objectives of his transactional clients.
Prior to joining Carrington Coleman, Mr. Imhoff served as a law clerk to Attorney General Greg Abbott at the time he served as a Justice on the Texas Supreme Court.
From 2005 through 2010, Mr. Imhoff has been named by Texas Monthly magazine as a "Rising Star" in Texas law.
“One thing I would like clients to know about me is that I truly enjoy and take pride in serving in the role of counselor. Our clientele consists of more entrepreneurial types of businesspersons. I like to be called on, not only for a question on oil and gas or real estate, but to have my brain picked on a wide range of other things…to truly be an attorney and counselor.”
