Mr. Suit provides legal counsel to corporate clients in a diverse range of civil disputes. He has represented clients in variety of matters, including real estate and construction litigation, contract and partnership disputes, patent infringement claims, and general business litigation. He has represented clients in the technology and telecommunications, real estate, construction, oil and gas, and restaurant industries. Mr. Suit has handled a wide range of cases from their inception to final disposition including summary judgment, trial verdict, settlement, and appeal. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Suit served as a policy analyst in the Office of Legal Policy at the United States Department of Justice.
Mr. Suit has been named by Texas Monthly magazine as a Rising Star in Texas law for 2010.
Representative Matters
Secured dismissal via summary judgment of multi-million dollar patent infringement claims against telecommunications industry client, including getting the dismissal upheld on appeal.
Represents commercial property landlords in disputes with tenants in multiple matters throughout the state of Texas.
Represents builder and developer of homes and condominiums in disputes regarding purchase contracts and alleged construction defects.
Helped secure summary judgment dismissal of multi-million dollar claims against Fortune 100 client in real estate dispute.
Secured favorable settlement for client in significant accounting malpractice dispute.
Successfully set aside a judgment in excess of $5,000,000 that had been entered against client in oil and gas industry.
Helped obtain settlement on behalf of a telecommunications provider following a five week jury trial in a case involving client’s alleged wrongful termination of a patent license agreement.
