Kyle Perkins is an associate in the firm’s employment section.  As part of his litigation practice, Kyle has represented employers in state and federal courts involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and ERISA fiduciary violations.  Kyle has also represented employers in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Texas Workforce Commission.

Representative Matters

Assisted in successfully obtaining summary judgment for employer on former employee’s claims of race, color, gender, and age discrimination related to former employee’s termination.

Assisted in successfully defending employer against former employee’s claim that the employer owed him a bonus.  After a bench trial, the court entered judgment in favor of the employer and ordered that the former employee take nothing on his breach of contract, promissory estoppel, and quantum meruit claims.

Represented employer in administrative proceedings regarding employee’s claim for unemployment benefits.
