Luke Nelson practices civil litigation at Carrington Coleman, including a wide range of complex commercial matters.  Mr. Nelson has experience with disputes involving construction, contracts and business torts, securities, professional liability defense, mortgage and financial industry issues, commercial real estate, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, and personal injury defense.  Mr. Nelson has represented clients in federal and state courts in Texas and elsewhere, and at both the trial and appellate levels.  In addition to his litigation experience, prior to joining the firm Mr. Nelson served as general counsel of a start-up private investment company, where he was responsible for legal and financial strategy on small business acquisitions, including acquisition structure, private placement of securities, due diligence, entity formation, and negotiation of purchase agreements.
