Laura is an associate at Carrington Coleman.  Her practice consists primarily of business, real estate, and lending transactions.

In her business representations, Laura has handled a broad range of issues for small and middle market companies.  She has assisted companies and entrepreneurs with all stages of development including the formation and structuring of business and investment entities, raising capital through private securities offerings, acquisitions of other companies, and wind-down and termination.  Laura represents private companies and their owners in a variety of industries including restaurant operation and franchising, mortgage lending, insurance brokerage, and oil and gas.

Laura’s real estate practice includes commercial leasing and purchase/sale transactions as well as real estate development.  Her representations have included both landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions for retail, restaurant and office space.  She has represented buyers and sellers in purchases and sales of raw land, office buildings, hotels and other commercial properties.  Laura has also assisted developers and landowners with the formation of property owners’ and homeowners’ associations and obtaining tax abatements.

Laura represents both borrowers and lenders in loan and loan restructuring transactions, including asset-backed and commercial mortgage-backed loans.  She has handled loans of various sizes to borrowers ranging from small businesses to national and multi-national companies. 

Laura enjoys getting to know her clients and their businesses and takes pride in helping them succeed.  Prior to attending law school, she earned a Ph.D. in ancient art and archaeology and worked on digs in Israel and Turkey.
